I adore Delhi street-style Dahi Bhalla – the fluffy lentil dumplings smothered in cold yogurt, zesty chutneys, and spices. But it takes ages to make it from scratch at home, and to be honest, I don’t always have the ingredients or the patience.
Is there a quick-to-eat version that actually tastes homemade and fresh?
Last week, I spotted a Desi Treat product – canned Dahi Bhalla that promises the authentic Delhi taste. Has anyone tasted it? How does it match up to homemade or street ones? And are there other chats like this (papdi chat, golgappa, etc.) out there in ready-to-eat versions?
Would love suggestions — especially for something I can stock and serve during festivals or gatherings without having to prep!
